About FAM: The Biography
Hip-Hop artist F.A.M. (Matt Park) first began as just another friend of fellow musician Bau Down (Kevan Bauman). It was not until the friendship enhanced over time that F.A.M. really had the opportunity to show Bau Down his musical talent and dedication.
F.A.M.'s musical influences stem through his childhood. He learned to play piano, violin, and guitar at an early age. As a child, F.A.M. was influenced by up and coming rock bands such as the smashing pumpkins, green day, and nirvana. As F.A.M. entered Jr. High he was introduced to the hip-hop scene and slowly fell in love with the music. His first influences being LL Cool J, Tag Team, Master P, Notorious BIG, and Puff Daddy. Just recently, has F.A.M. begun to pursue work making his own influential music.
Months of hanging around the studio showed Bau Down the dedication and kind of person that F.A.M. really was. Becoming friends and having the will to learn from Bau Down sparked the start of something great, when Bau offered to produce him. Production of the debut album "A Walk in the Park" is now currently in the works, and is already being talked about. Look for the album to drop around August/September 2007, along with Bau Down's album "Thy Will Be Done."
Recently, the two talented artists have also initiated work on the much anticipated collaboration album titled "Early Retirement." This project is expected to drop along with a mixtape around June/July 2007.
Since the age of the internet and digital music is among us, the music world has been flooded with underground musicians. Bau Down & FAM have worked very hard to be who and where they are today. However, they would not consider themselves successful if it were not for all of their loyal friends, fans, musicians, media personnel, and venues that work so hard in the fight to get their names and music out into the world.
